I laghi ed il silenzio dei boschi
Nature tourism in the Nebrodi Park
Fauna and flora of northwestern Sicily on the Tyrrhenian Sea
Fauna and flora of northwestern Sicily on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The elegance of the golden eagle, the mighty griffin, the giant badgers, the beech trees, the oaks or the lakes and the silence of the woods are just some of the peculiarities offered by the Nebrodi’s Natural Park.
We at Santo Pietro are happy to accompany you to discover or rediscover the treasures of this park: we will observe the Rocche del Crasto up close, we will enjoy the breathtaking view of the Aeolian Islands, the lakes Maulazzo, Biviere, we will hear the sounds of mountain villages such as San Marco d'Alunzio, Alcara li Fusi, Longi, Floresta and many others.
We are sure that in order to protect our home, you must first know it, you must have a first meeting. Let's hope this is a bolt of lightning for everyone!
The environmental crisis is testing our lives and perhaps we are forgetting the relationship between human beings and Nature. We are convinced that rediscovering places, forests, mountains and getting closer to old flavors, ancient stories and legends can give us an extra gear in order to face the challenges that climate change faces us.

We want to intrigue people, make them care about the places they're visiting. We want the hiking culture to spread to children of all ages, from 0 to 99 years old!
You will have the opportunity to enjoy unforgettable moments immersed in unspoiled nature, having fun and relaxing, flanked by a naturalistic guide who will accompany you safely and that will stimulate your curiosity, providing you, if you want, scientific-naturalistic information.
How to prepare for excursions
The basic rule is always to dress in layers : you start with light clothing in contact with the skin and cover yourself with heavier clothing. In summer, heavy clothing is usually stored in the backpack and if necessary we wear them depending on the temperature and our feeling.
Boots are suitable for both simple and more advanced excursions as they support the ankles and at the same time protect against possible dangers such as snake bites or thorns.
